It's sweltering hot these days and it's no doubt that it's summer time! Hot weather calls for cool summer desserts and my kids enjoyed a Jolly Tropical Fruit Cocktail Maja earlier today. 

If you are tired of the usual maja blanca then you should try making this Jolly Tropical Fruit Cocktail Maja. So easy to make and light on the budget too! Great for a family Sunday afternoon snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jolly Ole Chef Pure Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 whole fresh buko, meat shredded
  • 1/2 cup fresh buko juice
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 can Jolly Tropical Fruit Cocktail (490g), drained


Instructions

  • Mix water, buko water and evaporated milk in a pot
  • Slowly mix cornstarch in
  • Cook over low fire for 30 minutes until thick, stir continuously
  • Remove from heat and add sugar, mix well
  • Add coconut meat and fruit cocktail
  • Mix well and transfer to a serving dish
  • Let cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
  • Serve with a smile
