Meatballs in Mushroom Soup

My kids love meatballs and I love that they love it because it's so easy to make! Just throw in your ground pork in a bowl, add shredded veggies, deep fry and viola! Yummy dinner! But what if I tell you that you can still level up it's deliciousness by adding one more step? Enter Meatballs in Mushroom Soup!

It tastes amazing! Meatballs with an Oomph! So good that my kids asked me to make it again for our following meal! 


The best part? This is such a no-sweat recipe because I used the canned Jolly Cream of Mushroom. So there, that's one of my secret ingredients. It can get messy to make mushroom soup from scratch, you know! And this mom just don't have that much time! Thank goodness for quality canned products! Makes cooking so much easier! Jolly, one of my favorite brands is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year! That's 20 years of making home-makers' lives easier! Congrats Jolly!


Ready to get cooking?

Ingredients

For the meatballs:

  • 1/2 kilo ground pork
  • 1 large carrot, shredded
  • 1 large red onion shredded
  • 1/2 clove garlic, smashed and minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying


For the mushroom soup:

  • 1 can Jolly Cream of Mushroom 298g
  • 1/2 clove garlic, smashed and minced
  • 1 medium red onion, minced
  • a teaspoon of oil
  • 1/2 cup water


Instructions

  • Combine ingredients for the meatballs in a bowl
  • Mix well using your hands and form into balls
  • Deep fry until golden brown
  • Strain to remove excess oil and set aside
  • In a separate pan, saute garlic and onion
  • Pour Jolly Cream of Mushroom into the pan
  • Add water and bring to a boil

  • Serve soup in shallow bowls
  • Add meatballs into the bowl
  • Serve warm
