How to eat muesli? That's a question that I hear from friends whenever I mention the word. Apparently, we are so used to eating oats the traditional way and that is to cook it for a few minutes before serving. Muesli is actually a raw rolled oats based breakfast dish that can be served in many ways and one of which is this easy breakfast muesli recipe that I'm going to share with you.

For this recipe, I used Simply Cereal Crunchy Nut- oven-baked muesli clusters with lots of whole nuts and sunflower seeds.

I first discovered Simply Cereal when I was still new in the call center industry a few years ago. I saw one of my teammates munching on something and she offered me some. Feeling sleepy and hungry, I immediately held my palm up to here and she poured what looked like a mixture of grains, oats, nuts and dried fruits. I gave her a quizzical look but she told me to just give it a try. That I did and I have been hooked ever since. If people like munching on chips while watching TV, I like munching on my muesli. Yum!

Others like serving muesli with milk or hot water while some soak their muesli on juice overnight to make it soft. While I prefer to eat it straight from the package, but for energy-draining days? This breakfast muesli recipe will give you an extra energy boost.

Muesli is such a great breakfast option because it has less sugar and high in fiber. It's also a great source of anti oxidants and because most muesli contains nuts, it also has a lot of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. How's that for the most important meal of the day?

This is great for busy working moms, too! What with prepping and dropping the kids off to school and rushing to a busy day at work, a muesli breakfast can be your go-to meal in the morning because it's so easy to prepare. You can even pack some in your kids' baon box so they can have something healthy to much on when they get hungry later in the day!

Breakfast Muesli Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Simply Cereal Crunchy Nut Muesli
  • 1/2 cup strawberry yogurt
  • 1 tbsp strawberry jam

  • Scoop jam into glass
  • Add yogurt 
  • Add muesli
  • Add slices of favorite fruits on top (optional)

There you have it! Easy peasy, yummy and super healthy breakfast muesli recipe that you can whip up in under 5 minutes!
